some exciting changes!
Oh my goodness, so much to say! Where to begin... Well, last time I wrote, we were on our way to see my family in Texas. We had so much fun. I was able to see everyone, and I think we were able to make the most of our week, which seems difficult to do sometimes. One really great piece of news is that we are moving to Texas in January! Tyson had three interviews lined up in Houston and Austin, and both firms in Houston made him offers! I can’t even explain how excited I am about it. So I’d say it was a pretty successful trip! Hurley did great on the plane and drove Holly and Clare’s dogs crazy! It was so fun watching him play with the others. We had to give him these pills to help relax him for the flight so he wouldn’t get sick, and they worked like a charm. I was happy about that because I hated the idea of him being stuck under the seat for 2 hours.
As for the 16K we signed up for....it was awful! Holy cow it was so stinkin’ hot, I will NEVER do that again. At least not in August. We got a cool shirt and a picture, what more could we ask for (other than a shuttle to take us to the finish line)...lol
Anyway, we got back to Idaho, and only had a few more weeks left until school started back up for Ty. He's on the home stretch and this semester will go by faster than the last I think. He is relieved he doesn’t have to worry about interviews and recruiting, just focus on school and then graduate in December.
Then this last week I was given a calling to be the first counselor in the Young Women’s presidency. I was really excited about that. I have always had an interest in the YW program, since I joined the Church when I was 18 and went straight to Relief Society. This will be a great opportunity. I have been working on getting my young women’s medallion this summer so this will be a great chance for me to help the other girls and learn more as I work on mine.
Things are looking up for us and I am very excited about these changes taking place. I really need to start looking for places in Houston and getting things lined up. I think by staying focused on what needs to be done will help me not focus on the fact that Tyson is not here. Things are good and I feel so blessed.
